Spring MAP Tests

Please note that Sunday, May 25, 2025, and Monday, May 26, 2025, students will sit for MAP tests ranging from grades 5 -10

School hours will remain the same following the regular bell schedule.

All students are required to bring their iPads fully charged to the school.

The purpose of MAP test is to measure the academic growth of students. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast on the day of the test.

All students must attend and complete the tests. If students are not in school, it will be considered an unexcused absence from school.

Semester 2/Cycle 4 Exams

We have reached the end of fourth cycle and students are preparing for cycle tests.

Please be informed that Thursday, June 5, 2025, coincides with the Day of Arafah, which is an official holiday in Qatar. Accordingly, the exam schedule has been revised as follows.

Cycle 4 tests for grades 5-11 will begin on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

Cycle 4 tests for grade 12 will begin on Sunday June 1, 2025 to June 4, 2025

Reminders:

  • All students MUST be in their school uniform. Students not in full uniform will not be allowed to enter the test room.
  • As is the case with all testing procedures, students are not allowed to bring their cell phones/smart watches or bags.
  • Students are ONLY permitted to come with a pencil case, calculator, and water bottle.

Mental Health Awareness Month

We are excited to announce that throughout the month of May, ISME will be participating in World Mental Health Awareness Month. This month is designed to promote the importance of mental well-being, build coping skills, encourage kindness, and strengthen our school community.

Throughout the month we will feature simple activities and discussions about self-care and mental health awareness.

    Students will:
  • Participate in short activities during homeroom or lunch breaks.
  • Learn tools for managing stress and promoting emotional well-being.
  • Celebrate kindness, gratitude, and connection with others.
  • Reflect on ways to practice self-care.
    How you can support at home:
  • Talk with your child about what they are learning during the week.
  • Encourage them to share acts of kindness or mindfulness activities they enjoyed.
  • Remind them that it’s always okay to ask for help when they need it.

We are proud to foster a school culture that emphasizes the importance of mental health and emotional growth alongside academic success.

SciTech Fair

Our Annual SciTech Fair for 2025 will take place on:

When: Thursday April 24, 2025,

Time: 11:00 am to 1:15 pm.

There will be many fun STEAM activities presented by our seniors and juniors in addition to the Research Presentations by our Grades 7 to 12 students.

Please note that we will follow the same schedule will end 1:20 pm.

Eid Al Fitr Holiday

We would like to inform you that, according to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Circular No. 4, Wednesday and Thursday, March 26 and March 27, 2025, will be added to the Eid Holiday.

According to that, Eid Holiday will start on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, for students, teachers and staff. The return date to school will be determined based on the official announcement from Diwan Al Amiri.

ISME Annual Book Fair

Each year we host a Book Fair to encourage every child to develop a love of reading as it is an essential life skill needed for education, the workplace and being able to survive on a day-to-day basis.

Book Character Day

As part of our March Madness celebrations, we are excited to announce that on Monday, March 24, 2025, we will be celebrating Book Character Day!

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their love for literature by dressing up as their favorite book characters.

To ensure a fun and respectful experience for everyone, we kindly ask that all costumes adhere to our Non-Uniform Day Policy (attached).

We look forward to seeing our students bring their favorite stories to life while fostering a love for reading!

Garangao Celebration for all Students

We are excited to announce that the Student Council will be hosting a Garangao Candy Gram event for all students.

Garangao is a tradition in Qatar and the Gulf region, celebrated on the 14th night of Ramadan. On this special night, children dress in traditional clothing, roam their neighborhoods singing traditional songs, and receive goody bags filled with sweets.

To honor this tradition, our school will celebrate Garangao on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Students are encouraged to wear traditional Qatari attire, in accordance with the school’s non-uniform day policy (attached).

Students can also take part by offering a Candy Gram goody bag to their teachers and friends. Each bag costs QAR 10.
