We are excited to invite you to our Family Fun Day on Saturday, February 22, 2025! This special event promises a day full of fun activities, entertainment, and great memories for our school community.

Entrance Fee: QR 10 per person

Enjoy a variety of activities, games, food vendors, and entertainment for all ages. It’s a great opportunity for families, students, and staff to come together and celebrate a day of joy and togetherness!

Students are requested to bring cash with them to purchase tickets for games and activities.

We encourage all families to join us and make this event a success and don’t forget to mark your calendars!

As per instructions from the Amiri Diwan, please be informed that tomorrow, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, is the National Sports Day, which will be an official holiday.

Furthermore, according to the school calendar for the academic year 2024-2025, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, and Thursday, February 13, 2025, are designated as off days for all students, teachers, and staff.

We will see you on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

We are excited to announce that the International School for Medical Science and Engineering will be organizing its annual Sports Day on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 10:30 am-1:20 pm. This event promises to be a fun-filled day where students will engage in various sports activities, fostering teamwork, camaraderie, and healthy competition among them.

We encourage all students to participate actively and showcase their sportsmanship skills.

Food and beverage vendors will be available for students during the specified hours. Please ensure that students have either cash or a card for payment. We kindly request your support and cooperation in ensuring that your child is prepared and ready for this exciting event.

Notes:
• Please wear your PE uniform pants or any loose-fitting pants.
• Yoga pants or tight-fitting pants are NOT allowed.
• Shorts are not allowed.
• The top must be loose fitting in the color assigned.
• Bring a water bottle with you.

Please note that Monday, February 3, 2025, and Tuesday, February 4, 2025, students will sit for MAP tests ranging from grades 5 -10

School hours will remain the same following the regular bell schedule.

All students are required to bring their iPads fully charged to the school.

The purpose of MAP test is to measure the academic growth of students. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast on the day of the test.

All students must attend and complete the tests. If students are not in school, it will be considered an unexcused absence from school.

This is to inform you that there will be no after-school clubs this week as students are focusing on preparing for their Chapter Tests. Please note that this applies to all clubs except for MUN (Model United Nations) and Debate, which will continue as scheduled.

We kindly request that all students who are not participating in MUN or Debate must be picked by 2:20 PM.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring that our students have adequate time to focus on their studies.

We are excited to invite you to our International Day Celebration, which will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:20 PM at our school campus.

This vibrant event is a celebration of the diversity and cultural richness of our school community. It will feature:

• Booths representing countries from around the world.
• A delicious variety of international foods to savor.

We hope you had a wonderful and restful Winter Break. As we step into a new year and the start of Term 2, we are excited to welcome our students back to school!

Classes will resume tomorrow, Monday, January 6th, 2025, as per the regular schedule. We are looking forward to seeing all our students refreshed, recharged, and ready to dive into another term of learning and growth.

Please note that there will be no WIN program or clubs this week.

We’re excited about the opportunities this term will bring and are committed to making it a successful and enjoyable experience for everyone.

As we prepare for the upcoming semester, we would like to remind you that as per the school calendar, the Mid-Year Break will begin on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, and continue until Sunday, January 5, 2025. Please note that students are expected to return to school on Monday, January 6, 2025, to resume their studies.

We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize that December 18 is Qatar National Day. We extend our heartfelt wishes for a joyful celebration to Qatar and its people on this special occasion.

Please ensure that your child is ready to return to school on this date so we can start the semester on a positive and productive note.

Cycle 2 Test/Exam dates have been updated based on the results of the survey sent to parents.

Exams for grades 7-12 will commence Wednesday, December 11, 2024, and end on December 17, 2024.

Grades 5 and 6 will not have cycle exams but they must report to school at 7:00 a.m. and they finish at 8:00 a.m.

• All students MUST be in their school uniform. Students not in full uniform will not be allowed to enter the test room.
• As is the case with all testing procedures, students are not allowed to bring their cell phones/smart watches or bags.
• Students are ONLY permitted to come with a pencil case, calculator, and water bottle.

We are excited to announce our Qatar National Day Celebrations that will take place this Thursday, December 5, 2024, on our campus.

This special event was planned by our Senior class and will feature a day filled with exciting activities, including:

• Student Performances
• Art Competition
• Henna Station
• ⁠Traditional Qatari Food

Students are encouraged to wear traditional Qatari attire. (abide to the uniform school policy).

There also will be vendors that students may purchase food from.

We look forward to a memorable day filled with cultural pride, fun activities, and community spirit!
