Executive Assistant to President & CEO

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Head of School and other duties in support of the school’s goals and mission. The position also involves substantial contact and interaction with teachers, staff, students and the community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head of School with a variety of projects and initiatives.
  • Assist the Head of School in planning and conducting meetings with teachers, student, staff and community.
  • Assist the Head of School with orientation, workshops, seminars and the coordination of special projects.

Director of Student Affairs

The director of Student Affairs will assist students in the developmental processes in intellectual, social and personal growth. Director of Student Affairs will also guide High school students through the college admissions process and completing college applications. He/She will provide a wide variety of career information and materials; communicate with students, parents, and community representatives concerning career planning and college admission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Direct students to provide them with sources of vocational/technical, career, college, information and work.
  • Maintain a library of catalogs, pamphlets and directories from colleges, technical schools and military academies. This information shall include forms, scholarship information, financial aid information, and occupational briefs.
  • Provide newsletters and other information to parents/guardians and students that relate to testing dates, college visitation dates, deadlines for filing applications, presentations that are held for career speakers and dates of military recruiter visits.
  • Direct students to appropriate Internet sites that will allow students to conduct their own interest inventories and secure information about an array of vocational, career and post high school experiences.
  • Organize, interpret and administer interest and achievement testing for students.
  • Organize and coordinate the College Fairs.
  • Organize and coordinate individual visits from college representatives.
  • Initiate contacts with professionals in the community and arrange for students to job shadow.
  • Assist outside agencies visiting the school and speaking to groups of interested students. This shall include military, college and technical school representatives and representatives of careers available without post-secondary training.
  • Maintain information on institutions that offer scholarships.
  • Meet with students prior to and during the registration process, inform the students of classes relative to course selection and assist the administration in the registration and scheduling process.
  • Meet with students individually or in groups to discuss credits, courses and entrance exams required by colleges and technical schools.
  • Advise students regarding the accuracy and completeness of records and credits and perform periodic credit checks from grades 9 through 12 with an emphasis on the senior year.
  • Communicate in writing and/or verbally to parents/guardians of senior students who are deficient in their credit status.
  • Coordinate the standardized testing program at the high school and compile and disseminate test results to appropriate personnel, students and parents/guardians.
  • Act as a referral agent in the regular education staffing by receiving referrals from staff, making contact with the student and possibly the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) and conducting conferences to determine potential outcomes.

Chief Operations Officer

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will be responsible and accountable for the administration, coordination, development, and implementation of all operations activities at the school. The COO will direct the work of his/her staff, anticipate and resolve problems, and contribute to the decision-making process as a leader and member of the Senior Leadership Council. The COO will be responsible for managing and administering all aspects of the school’s facilities including repairs/maintenance and issues related to security and safety. In addition, the COO will be responsible for supervising the school’s IT services as well as procurement and ordering and maintenance of resources. Director of STEAM and Practical Applications Program

The Director is responsible for assisting the Chief Teaching and Learning Officer in the overall development, evaluation, and administration of STEAM and Practicum that supports instructional programs to ensure students are able to apply knowledge and skills appropriately in applicable world situations. The primary responsibility of the Director is to help teachers and students recognize methods and solutions using an integration of all subjects within STEAM and the social sciences. The Director will lead the collaborative efforts to integrate teaching and learning horizontally, vertically, and diagonally. The Director will develop partnerships and internships that will allow students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a practical work environment. The Director will manage the practical labs for health science, engineering, and technology in a way that the arts and social science are a demonstrative component of learning and application. The Director’s responsibilities include classroom management, program planning, curriculum development, management and assessment, faculty development, student discipline and attendance in various programs of the teaching and learning department as well as student activities for grades 5-12.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Directs the development and evaluation of educational STEAM programs.
  • Responsible for encouraging and support development of innovative instructional programs, helping teachers pilot such efforts when appropriate.

Chief Teaching and Learning Officer

he Chief Teaching and Learning Officer (CTLO) of the school and provides leadership to all academic areas as well as counseling, career and academic advising, and extra-curricular activities so they reflect the mission of the school. The CTLO is an advocate for all academic programs and extra-curricular activities, providing leadership to all academic staff to ensure consistent quality standards in curriculum and programs that meet the needs of students. The CTLO oversees the academic integrity of the school and is responsible for the school’s curriculum and program development, library, career and academic advising, counseling, student recruitment. The CTLO ensures compliance with various accreditation agencies as well as the Ministry of Education and Higher Education regulation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership for all academic programs and works with the Upper and Lower School Principals, Heads of Departments and teachers to facilitate appropriate program development.
  • Ensure systematic review of the school curriculum and programs to ensure quality and current course content.
  • Formulate, maintain and implement a high-quality curriculum.
  • Provide leadership in matters of academic policy and administration and regularly advise the President & CEO on these matters.

Finance & Human Resource Assistant

Financial Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Director of Finance for day to day financial transactions. The position involves, maintaining financial reports and managing invoices.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance Department

  • Record journal vouchers/cash receipts in the school’s accounting system
  • Write up cash receipts for checks received as needed.
  • Assist in preparing for the closing at the end of the month
  • Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions
  • Support monthly payroll and keep organized records
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed

Assistant of Resources

Coordinate all supply functions. Procure and maintain a sufficient inventory of supplies as is necessary for the school.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive stationary requests from faculty and staff.

IT of Academic Support

The IT Academic Support Coordinator (ITASC) monitors and maintains the academic systems of an organization. They may install and configure academic systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.
